 Policy Development Work

CAP aims to develop a model of work that opens up channels of influence for the Ballymun community to effectively influence decision-making processes locally, nationally and internationally

Objectives

CAP will continue it's work in supporting the Ballymun Community Organisations Network. For more information: Click here

CAP will design training programmes in policy development and effective engagement with the policy-making environment and deliver this training to groups locally.

CAP will develop links and work with other local, national and international organisations involved in promoting the involvement of local people in policy development processes.

CAP will work to have guidelines for community participation in regeneration processes agreed and adopted at national level.

CAP will continue to promote the learning gained in the course of our drugs policy project and to ensure that the recommendations contained in the report “A View from Ballymun”  produced by CAP in 1999 are implemented.

CAP will fully evaluate and document this element of our work and disseminate lessons to relevant groups and organisations.
